x lg 32ln578v: sound worked with no picture. now nothing after I tried changing channel/input via remote - can`t see what i`m selecting hehe.

lg 42lc46on first powering up it works then goes blank for some time. have to turn of at mains and turn on again before it works ok this can vary on how long it takes to work properly.

the tv is currently standing on the floor as I am having building work done so I dont know if this is the reason for the problem which is the tv is very dark on one side of the screen does go normal for a short time.
